Devanand is an ambitious, conscientious, compassionate registered nurse who has been providing meticulous care to his patients for the past ten years. In September 2018,
Devanand joined the Glengariff family as the MDS Coordinator. For as long as Devanand could remember, he always wanted to work in medicine. After graduating in 2009 with an associate's in nursing from Nassau Community College, he began his career in the nursing home setting, providing care to young adult and geriatric patients in need of long-term care and sub-acute skilled nursing services. During this time, he worked in many areas including med nurse, nursing supervisor, and nurse manager for a forty-bed sub-acute unit.
He then went on to practice in roles such as a nursing educator, infection control coordinator, risk manager, assistant director of nursing, director of nursing and now in his current role as an MDS Coordinator. In 2013, Ramesh earned his bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) from American Sentinel University, and currently, he is a graduate student at Molloy college working towards pursuing his master’s degree.
Devanand uses his broad array of clinical knowledge to plan, develop, and implement effective plans of care for Glengariff patients, one that enhances their quality of life, their health, and overall wellbeing.
He attributes much of his success to the famous quote, "I never gave or took any excuse." - Florence Nightingale
