Director of Recreation
Derek has an Associate's Degree in Physical Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and is a Certified Personal Trainer. He has been working in healthcare for over 15 years. Derek was drawn to this field because of the strong relationship he had with his grandparents, and he wanted to advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves. His favorite part of the role is bringing exciting therapeutic activities to people with pain or impairment, as well as those just wanting a fun experience. In his spare time, Derek enjoys spending time with his wonderful two sons and family, listening to music, practicing Muay Thai, drawing, traveling, playing pool, and going out with friends.
